BuzzTV X5 update

Has anyone got the bad BuzzTV X5 box like of course I did that won’t update and sent it back to them to be fixed or tried to to do it yourself.when I emailed them about sending it back or doing it myself they tried to scare me by saying if I tried it myself I could "brick " it and make it useless, but why should I have to pay to have it shipped to them for their mistake.

Maybe @buzztvglobal can get you started in the right direction.

You might try to message @buzztvglobal. I had the x5 that wouldn’t update and trying to get any help on their forum just got me frustrated to the point I got banned from making any posts. At that point I put the x5 back in the box. Months went by until one day @buzztvglobal came on here to try to help people that had issues with the box. After numerous correspondences back and forth this guy made me one happy man. I sent him my 64g x5 and a week later I got the 128g special edition x5 and this box rocks. Buzz is now my favorite device I own.
It won’t hurt to try, this guy really does care about customer satisfaction  Good luck :+1:

Have contacted them. They told me I needed to send it to them-my charge-to have it fixed,so asked them again why should I have pay for their mistake,to which they responded they weren’t going to argue with me about,I could send it back or not.So I did same thing, got mad, boxed it up to resell on eBay and bought a Formuler Z 11.Unfortunately the Z 11 has been a big disappointment with lagging video and as asked on here before real bad stuttering with closed caption on.So was thinking going back to X5,so why I was asking if anyone went to trouble to have it fixed.

I hope you mean @buzztvglobal. If so I’m surprised they would treat some customers with the same issues differently.

Both of those boxes are top notch so I would suggest doing your research on them as to how to use them.

You need to do some research… Both the X5 and the fourmler run great. Sounds like a issue on your end.

I have the original X5 128GB and i’ve never ever had any issues with it? i run 4 iptv services on it and plays and records fine…use it and my shield everyday to record me and my lady"s daily programs.
that box is great and i luv mine…never had an issue with it

I didn’t say the X5 didn’t work fine,it did.I asked if anyone had sent it back because naturally I got the bum version that can’t be updated unless you send it back to them or try doing it yourself which involves several steps. The Formuler hasnt worked well right out the box with stuttering video on just about everything I watch.Have tried several different settings, nothing seems to work.Posted a question right here on this forum about the stuttering with closed caption on and received no helpful answers. I have a shield also, had it awhile,so thought maybe newer boxes might be an upgrade, just to try - obviously they are not.

Like @TP-Dracoo said, you might want to check some other things on your end. I also have z11 pro max and it runs very good also. Not getting stuttering on any of the many apps I have. Both boxes stream 4k with zero issues.

not to worry, many of us did have issues with the x5 upon initial release, many who waited a little had no issues. It all has worked out however and I would say the x5 is now one of my better boxes that I would put there with my Nvidea Shield and Ugoos UT-8.
