Just to make sure when you say you’ve tried resetting the remote, is that using the buzztv smart remote app? Also have you tried Update Control Software in that app?
Also could try this:
You can try factory resetting the remote Hold down the 0 + Down button on the remote for 5 seconds. It will blink to confirm its been reset.
