When the device is powered off it disconnects from my network until I turn the device on again. Every TV and Android or Google box I’ve owned always stays connected to the network in standby. The box is in standby (off) mode now. I find this odd. No background activity will happen when it’s offline for long hours. The box is in deep sleep. When I turn on the box it says Ethernet reconnected. Looking for an app that will run in the background to keep it from powering down. My Android Sony TVs and onn boxes always stay online.
@TROYPOINT Looking at this box for a friend that I will need to set up. He wants a certified box for Prime Video and Netflix as well as iptv. Did you test certified apps and did it seem like a good fit for a newbie?
Yes! Certified apps work great. It’s a nice box.

Well I tried the nvidia shield pro instead. Unfortunately, had some of the same issues that I had on the z12. Also heard the p6 has the same audio issues. Doesn’t anyone make an uncertified box that works like the 4k pro? Cheers
