šŸ”“ BuzzTV Classic AI Android TV Box First Impressions Video

@dhoushar I hope that you get it sold.

It’s kind of funny I scroll down and I read all the stories of the people having issues with this brand new buzz box and it makes me laugh. Why would you spend that much money on something that obviously has issues. Even in the review on the pros and cons when I read the cons of what doesn’t work some of them are the main features that are using to sell the box.

This is the case for most AOSP boxes. They don’t work with Netflix etc. Other main downfall is no licensing for dolby. For some of us that doesn’t matter. I don’t need dolby because I have Samsung TV and why do we need Netflix when we have Stremio with debrid service. I’ve always been a fan of BuzzTV boxes and love my P6. It’s personal preference. I respect your opinion but I think Onns are junk. I bought one and wifi kept cutting out on me. To each their own.

My P6L is the bomb. Almost a year old and never one hiccup. I also have a full Samsung based home theater and absolutely love the Dolby Atmos as well as HDR10 and 10+ . A joy to use and I have no issues playing any vids that are even 100GBs in size. Bigger equals more info for the pic. I’m looking forward to this being like the Shield for long life. To top it off it runs the 64Bit apps with ease and they are the future. So as you say @waingro to each there own and we’re so lucky to have such a wide variety of equipment to use. A truly diverse hobby.

I bought the classic AI mainly because I like checking out new tech. I haven’t had one issue with it so far. It was cheaper than my Nvidia shield pro and I like the remote better haha.

Hope none of you guy’s have any issues with these boxes even one day after the warranty runs out..the customer service is terrible vs nvidia customer service that still supports 3yr old boxes and will still send you parts for free? try that with Buzz customer service? they basically give you the bird? they’re really polite about doing it tho? there is that

That’s a shame you’ve had such a bad experience with their customer service. Fortunately my interactions have all been positive. Their on line chat system I have used on 4 different occasions and they have been able to resolve my issues, answer my questions, and been very helpful in a timely and respectful manner.

I sure had a bad experience with them on a X5 128gb that was 18months old and the usb port stopped working…it was a nightmare dealing with them and the cost to repair was to have it sent to them and i pay for repair plus shipping? more than i paid for the box?

fan went bad on 2019 Nvidia shield? they sent me one for free?

uhhhhh..big difference

What was the original warranty? A year cause that’s 6 months past. A fan is a bit different as if it just fails it’s unplug and plug in and the USB port may have failed because of a board or on board component requiring trouble shooting and bench testing and even soldering. So I understand your pain but I doubt they could just send a new USB plug if it was bad, and then have you put it in. So I see both sides on that one. Fortunately is very rare, but still that doesn’t help you. Might have been better if they offered a discount on a new unit or something like that.

i agree..they did not and were kinda rude about it…discount for repair and free shipping? they didn’t even try to make a customer happy? pretty expensive boxes for such poor customer service is my take? the onn’s are a much better choice IMO…who’s doing more than streaming and recording a lil bit? the onn’s do that perfectly for 1/10th the money? just my take

A rare case that has soured you on Buzz. A real shame. I feel the same about ONN. Well you have an option going forward now.

I just received my Classic AI 3 days ago. Have been testing various parts of it. At first wasn’t sure about the player that was built in but I’m learning it. So far no buffering, only a little stuttering last evening around 8:30-9. I assumed that was when the servers were being adjusted. After about 3 minutes back to a very great picture. Smooth. I have been using an Nvidia Shield Pro for several years but it began doing strange things. It’s old. And my Apple streamer is old too. Roku was my first streamer, quit that years ago. Then Amazon. I tried the Onn Pro just to see what was there. My Nvidia and Apple are the only ones that came close to pleasing me like this Buzztv. I’m still testing and learning the buzz but if it stays like it is I will be extremely satisfied.

I discovered this product is made in Canada, which has a tariff add on. I asked for a net cost and was told final number is only available at check out time. Not a buzz kill but I need the final number before I can purchase. I will carry the sale to final step get my number and cancel the sale.

The tarrifs have nothing to do with the suppliers. It’s up to the U.S. gov and you need to research their tarrif amounts on certain categories of whatever you are buying. Not sure who you would contact for the exact amount.

I never have to worry any more about about loosing functionality because of restrictions companies are placing on their hardware and software. I have BuzzTV’s Classic AI that has Android 14 (AOSP). A little tricky getting it installed, but I am extremely pleased with my purchase, especially with Troypoint’s 10% discount.. I’m running Kodi and Stremio with Trakt integration. With Stremio, I’m also using MyTrakt. My VPN loads automatically and I can also watch StreamFire and SpirtsFire for live TV.

Perfect setup!!!

Agree with you and love my Buzz boxes.
