As of Buzz 5 latest update some folders are now locked, I never used parental control so I am wondering has this happen before and do I have to wipe out my box and start over. I am using Buzz IPTV program, this is not happening in tivimate
When I had mine, one channel somehow got locked with a parental code. Never set one up and it was the only channel that I couldn’t watch without a code. I was never able to get it off of there either no matter what I tried
It was for your own protection, i’m sure
What folders are locked?
Adult Folders cannot unlock them
The following pertains to 5.0.775 Buzz 5 App Version. You’re correct that BuzzTV reconfigures their app with each update, which can be frustrating, I am assuming you can navigate the menus and would like to refer to folders as categories.
Go to Parental Control from Settings and enter the following:
This will allow you to unlock adult content from the Organize Categories by using the yellow remote button.
I can provide more details if needed. The word folders broke my brain in your OP.
Buzz did change the way categories were turned off/on with the latest update. Hang in there. At some point it might make sense.
I’m sure. TruTV is so bad. Lol
I’m just happy to see buzztv using a sophisticated password system
A notch above LOL
They can figure out how to add a random password to a random channel but lax in the update dept lol
Looking to sell my 4900, I don’t like the change and yes they are the ones that put the lock on folders, Its funny that it happen when they put out a update. but Thank You
So it now appears that rather than just screw up the X5 box, buzz has decided to screw up all boxes in their collection. Wonderful…and I thought the 4900 was all they had left…oh well
Not sure what’s going on over there. Seems like they’re bound and determined to go backwards. Formuler as already sent 2 updates since I bought mine and are now offering a beta download to the new update in the works
