Oddly, though, typing into some apps was giving me fits on my Chromebook. I would type away before paying attention and the cursor would have stopped two words into a long passage. Eventually it would catch up but it could be minutes later. Switching to incognito mode cured that issue completely.
While incognito is supposed to not retain your history, I’ve found that beginning to input a website caused some recents to pop up if I want to choose them again
