Block them in your phone settings and label them as spam.

I just wanted to make sure somehow that the wrong people didn’t get my number. Since my blocker is not doing the job I will do my best to ignore the calls.

Did u receive the number NorthernMonkey? +447******†**********

Hi Madgreek. I’m in the UK and we receive lots of these, if its not a number that is in my address book or a call i’m not expecting also if they cant be bothered to leave a message then it obviously wasn’t important so they get blocked and reported as spam. home phone has an answer phone feature and 99.9% of calls never leave a message and those that do go through ends up with background noise in a call centre. The 0.1% that does get through is the mother in law who complains but we do pick up, It confirms that it works. I guess some websites get compromised and details get hacked hence nuisance calls and spam emails…Br Bernie

Hi, the number tracks as from UK but ive tracked it to the Netherlands.
Its under investigation in UK by OFCOM.

Thanks Jaybee that clears a lot of thing up. At least it’s not the worst thing like somebody trying to connect me to bad iptv service.

I answer my calls – Hello, Federal Building - How may I direct your call? Then you hear “Click” Or tell them to hold for a minute and leave them on the line until they hang up. Or once you know it is them - blast an Air Horn in the phone. Have some fun with it.

Good idea Kathie I will try that thanks.

Never answer and block the number. Simple

I never answer these calls or respond to SPAM emails. Not because I’m paranoid but because I don’t want to get hundreds more. Most of these calls and emails are just trying to determine if there is an actual person at the number. They get paid to sell your number to all kinds of companies that want you to buy their crap/service

They tried to call yesterday again.

Block the number and report as spam. If it’s important they would have left a message several missed calls earlier
