I’ve been using the Rii i8+ Mini Wireless Touch Keyboard for years. I believe it was a Troypoint recommendation. Connects to any device that acepts a bluetooth link, so I use it with a Google TV set and Firesticks. Only downside is that my old version uses a charger with a “fat” USB connector; it does not charge off USB C.
Use bit.ly url shortener and that BS will be over. https://bitly.com/.
May a micro-usb to usb-c adapter like so?
chenyang USB 2.0 Connector USB C to Micro USB & Mini USB Data Power Adapter 480Mbps https://a.co/d/9LSXuGE
Looks like that adapter would work.
I have many keyboards that I have used with the fire products, but the last inexpensive one did not have a “Menu” key. I do miss it. Might be worth looking at the keys before you buy one.
I use a Bluetooth mini keyboard and it’s perfect for this.
Well as I tend to listen to @Miki, this arrived last night. I’ve only tested the bluetooth part on my Onn’s and it works just fine. I’m not sure I will bother with the IR for my TV etc but may only for volume. It’s time to install my OTG cable so I can move some apps, well one anyway as Kodi x 2 is on one box. They always did and still do take up mega space. I’ll be looking for the Onn intructions.
most thing you need can be got using download codes easy 4 or five digits
The biggest headache I have on a fire stick or any other device like my never Shield is developing a new favorites page off of a new IPTV provider. That’s why I hate change when it comes to providers IPTV providers. He’s take me down there all day to get my favorite squared away, now it’s about 3 hours 4 hours.
I hear you. It’s a pain. I wish you could tag them to either keep or remove them.
Not entirely sure what is the problem developing a new fave list from an IPTV provider. I use Tivimate and creating my own lists with their own title and transferring channels into those lists is exceedingly easy and can even be done in bulk, especially if you know the specific channels you want. I doubt that any list will have more than around 100 channels even if a supplier has thousands. Using a 2019 Shield Pro presently.
Agreed @Miki my IPTV service uses a proprietary app but there is a Favorites section much like Tivimate. I just counted and only have 30 channels that I would typically use on any given day. Local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC channels, a few other News channels , and the majority of the rest are all Sports channels.
True guys I only have 30 40 channels on my favorite list however I got to dig them out of 20,000 channels. My locals are worse but I use the search engine to do that
I guess it all depends on the channels and the sub. I eliminate all the groups I never use, then focus on CA/USA/UK sports, then US/CA locals, then US/CA Entertainment. It does take me about a half hour from the moment I add a new Playlist until the time I have all the channels in the groups I want. But I’m retired and have all the time in the world. My subs seem to have only about 6000 Channels as well so that makes a big difference.
I eliminate the unnecessary bouquets also, however nothing’s in order so you have to dig it all out.
On all my subs what I want is already divided up into specific groups. Makes it so easy.
@ Miki
