Well my last posting was a false path. Updates are not blocked on fireTV.
But know that a year ago had success with a list of specific IP addresses that are put into my routers firewall to block.
Does anyone have this list still? Will try to look them up and post here if I find them.
Most routers have a way to block bad web sites. If you put these into your router to block, in theory you can not get updates to the fireTV. Am surprised this is not mention as a primary way to stop Amazon from pushing out updates?
Recently my fire cube is threatening to update the software. Can someone repeat the instructions ADB commands to delete the download update file? Know those instructions are buried somewhere but can not seem to find them.
