Anyone know what ppv channel the Black Sabbath farewell concert is on?
You missed it
It’s probably available on VOD but I heard it was a complete BUST!!!
there are loads of clips on youtube from the ozzy farewell…gotta be honest it was pretty pitiful. I wouldn’t have wanted to go out that way.
I might want to watch it just for a good laugh.
Edit:
I saw a clip of them attempting War Pigs and I turned it off before it ended. Sad indeed.
Sharon should be ashamed of herself but I dont think that’s possible.
Sold out in 16 mins…now Ozzy is saying he isn’t officially retired, he said he would be open to recording with other musicians. I encourage other bands and artists, please don’t call Ozzy.
I mean I have been an AC/DC fan since the 70’s, still jam to them once in a while. But to see Angus having to slow Thunderstruck down like he has on this recent tour is pitiful to me as well. Don’t get me wrong at 70 plus he can still move but his fingers aren’t as fast as they used to be. What’s funny to me is how packed all these shows are, people can’t seem to get enough of these old acts.
Yeah some people can pull it off but most cant and the $ is too much for most to turn down.
My friends still want to see Iron Maiden on their next tour. Some bring their kids now to pass on the memories. They still do a good job for their ages. But Nikko has retired due to health issues. I first saw them in 1983 at Radio City Music Hall.
I saw a video of Frankie Vallie recently and he looked like a mannequin standing on stage. To an extent it could be elder abuse to get more $ from them before they pass away.
I did get to see The Who last year and they did GREAT! They didn’t bust up any instruments though. Well worth it even though it wasn’t quite the same as when I saw them just after Woodstock. I REALLY miss Keith Moon. But Roger and Pete’s voices were great examples of not being lost to time.
I think that if I could personally meet any famous rocker, it would be Ozzy. Followed by Dave Grohl.
For me it would be Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa…followed by dinner and drinks with Grace Potter…
With Duane Allman as a Special Guest..
Got to See Both Hendrix & Zappa before their demise, and Saw Grace Potter open for the Allman Brothers (post Duane) before they were through. Those were the good ole days im tellin ya…geez im getting old.
Jefferson Airplane opening for The Doors, 10th row and $7 for tickets.
I was a roady for ELO, Supertramp, Glass Tiger and Klatuu. Loved the roady life for 5 yrs then quit when one of the Sound companies refused to fix the 5 ton truck I was driving and the brakes failed. I came to an intersection with a red light, blew right through it, never hit anyone or anything, but damn that made me quit the road life. My job was settting up the drum riser and sound system.
That is incredible, Miki! Two of my favorites are ELO and Supertramp! The roady life, I’ve always figured that you were a bit of a wild one. ![]()
Wow Miki thats awesome! I also spent time as a “road-dawg”, but only for some local-ish bands. I did lights and was the guitar tech. Our greatest shows were when we opened for Savoy Brown once, and then for Joe Perry of Aerosmith during one of their split-ups. Saw Supertramp in San Diego during their Breakfast in America Tour. What Amazes me nowadays when I think back on that show, is that Judas Priest opened for them! No one had ever heard of them then, they were just starting out. They came out dressed in all solid white flowing robes like some bad-ass Druids or something!
I also have Every Klatuu Vinyl they released. Everyone thought they were the Beatles as they stayed “secret” for a long time. Saw ELO in Atlanta with April Wine and Mother’s Finest. Quite the billing that one was. Also, I am lucky enough to have seen Led Zeppelin in 72 in Atlanta also. All those memories of mis-spent youth but I would not trade it in for all the tea in China. And dont get me started about RUSH…geez they were so good…
Wow @Reece
…your pulling one outta my fave bag with Mother’s Finest…what a funk rock/-
hard rock/-funk metal/-R&B band is supposed to sound like…
Yeah those were the days. We use to go see them every weekend at a venue in UnderGround Atlanta. They finally banned “nickel beer night” there due to abject rowdiness!!
Recently I’ve seen a post - I believe it was on TikTok - that said Sharon & Ozzy traveled to Switzerland in order for Ozzy to “Legally” commit suicide with Sharon helping him. Is this true?
