As a loyal Real Debrid customer for over 7 years I was skeptical of Torbox but just signed up for the $23 Black Friday deal. Very easy, used my personal Visa cc for payment, configured in Umbrella and tested a few of my Trakt shows and movies and getting the exact same streams as RD. My RD sub expires at the end of January but with Torbox pulling the same streams I probably wonāt renew RD
I cannot find the original post where somebody was having issues with RD and streamio. Basically RD would quit you get the cat and playback error on Stremio and would not work for a couple days. Iāve had my share of problems also. It started about 6 months ago, I would be watching a show, a series, on the fire stick 4K, which still kicks my shield proās butt, on streamio and it would get the buffing circle then I get the cat and would not work for a couple days. When I get back on it and it would work. Yesterday me and my wife are watching our shows in the evening and I got the buffing circle, and the cat came up. Cant watch any more shows got the cat the vcl error. However I set up my Nvidia pro to play streamio and all my shows are on the log on and sync. So I quickly jumped on my shield pro and streamio worked with Rd. No cat no playback error. I went back to my fire stick and again got the cat playback error. I shut off my surfshark which Iām using on both systems, watch Rd since it engaged for a minute, went back turn my surshark back on and a little behold no cat no playback works fine. I must do that every so often. But itās not a long-term issue usually corrects immediately. Sometimes when this issue arises my fire stick will start to reboot and then the cat and the playback error.
On a different note Iāve been off this website for quite a while because my Parkinsonās has gotten worse. It is very difficult when Iām off my meds to type or text. So please do not respond to my statement as I may not be able to respond back to you. Thank you.
Use the āExternal Playerā option in stremio and install VLC player on your firestick. That pretty much worked for me.
On a different note, Iām seeing fewer and fewer links on Torrentio/RD. WHatās the current view on Torbox (I had mixed success with it when I tried it last year)?

I have the VLC installed and stremio tries to initiate it but it doesnāt work. I have maybe two or three RD+ feeds. Some shows only have one or two RD+ feeds. I have quite a few RD but I donāt use that. RD feed doesnāt work as well
Stremio has its own VLC installed in the default player settings. Exo, VLC or external.
Yes, but for some reason, I have more luck with the external VLC player than the version that Stremio jumps to internally when Exo player fails.
I only use Weyd, and they use this as a marketing tool to encourage you to get a lifetime subscription. I am fine with paying yearly for a service that may be gone tomorrow so Iāll just stay with premiunize.

I got the cat error on my shield pro the other day. So what I finally did is I disconnected the VPN surfshark, Iāve been watching my shows on stremio without the VPN and RD itās been working fine havenāt got a notice yet from my IP yet. It seems like every time I start using a VPN the cat shows up.
I was getting the cat a lot myself but changed servers a few times and have not seen one lately. It also fixed the blocked Torrentio links issue. All good now.
Iāve been getting a few odd things happening lately. Even some 456 warnings which usually means I am trying to connect to a geo locked server and I cannot access it as it isnāt the server I used when first connecting. Did like you, and switched servers. Took a few attempts but been fine since.
Torbox just posted they have reached 300,000 users. Thatās not bad at all for being a year old. I really wish some of the others would release some info but understand why they donāt.
Wow, that is huge. TorBox has been desperately slow loading this last week, so hopefully will be able to get another server leaf, and speed things up.
I expected their Black Friday deal to cause some problems, so far it has been minor me. Iām sure they gained a bunch of users. Hopefully they bring more capacity online quickly.
Is Torbox the best debrid service to use to supplement Streamio?
Streamio only playing currently with 50% of downloads.
I use Torbox and Real Debrid for my two VOD services. Premiumize is another popular one.
