I still say that HDR10+ with the added meta data is the most amazing pic I’ve ever watched and every bit as good as anything I’ve watched at the theater. Don’t forget to truly appreciate DV you will need to spend thousands more on the best equipment that will support it. Unless you have that equipment, which most of us can’t afford, then it isn’t worth worrying about DV or HDR10+ I’ve seen the SBS comparisons and honestly the minute difference is debateable whether it’s worth the extra coin. I am more than pleased with the quality I get.
I absolutely agree. For HDR/HDR10+, a display with adequate nits + something like Filmmaker mode is great and already has the “This is how it’s intended to look like without any tinkering neccessary”-factor. I also think the steep licensing will keep DV from ever becoming mainstream. It is very much an enthusiast thing like you say. I use it whenever it’s an option, of course, but I truthfully wouldn’t really miss it and probably would fail any test where I had to tell whether it’s DV or HDR10+ without knowing beforehand.

Dolby vision is mainstream and an industry standard from Blu-rays to streaming services and many streaming devices supporting it. All the top TV manufacturers use it on their flagship TVS and is also available on some lower end TVs except for Samsung of course.
I agree with your statement about peak brightness and an adequate nits count for getting the best results when viewing these dynamic range formats.
It’s HDR10+ that’s not mainstream though but it’s getting more popular now with more streaming services offering it along with some Blu-ray releases also including it along with DV. I do think it will lose ground once TVS panels become 12bit unless Samsung do another joint venture to produce a 12bit dynamic range to compete with DV.

I’m using cinema HD how do I add something like link snappy to it. I used real debrid but now that it’s been taken down how do I add another premium service to it? Any help would be appreciated

Real Debrid is working just fine. They had a hiccup several months back but no issues. I use it daily along with Premiumize.me.
As far as Snappy, I’m sorry but am not familiar with it.
