Best free streaming tv/movie application?

I have used Film+ for two years without a problem. However, latest update 8.1.7 include ads that evade Surfshark blockage.

I’m going to download Film+ again using Troy’s video tutorial. Perhaps I can find an earlier version without ads.

If this doesn’t work, I would greatly appreciate recommendations for a tv/movie streaming application that works well without ads and other problems.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

film plus version 1.7.5 google it you will find add free version i use it its fine or use onstream or uk turks all work well

I’ll see how reinstalling FilmPlus works. It seems to, for the moment. I have Surfshark, which ususally blocks ads, and realdebrid for better quality streaming.

Actually, I deleted film Plus, btv, and even downloader. Then I use the instructions to screenshot instructions, to download and side load film Plus and btv. I even downloaded a new version of downloader.

I reset my real debrid, and so far, things are okay. But I may well need to change applications, so thank you for your suggestion.

I’ve tinkered around with several of the standalone APKS, but, as Miki suggests, Stremio is the best standalone that we’ve used.

It is a bit of a pain to set up the first time and you do really need to set it up via a Windows or Linux PC, but there’s no ads and no malware.

Hey Miki about the issue I have with onstream with their search engine not having voice text. I was able to put on stream on my tablet and my tablet of course has voice text so it took care of the search engine problem. Now I can add movies to my account on stream on my tablet utilizing the Google assist.

Nice. That’s cool. I’ve honestly never tried it on the Shield as I rarely use it. Just as a backup. With Stremio and RD I’m pulling HDR10+ Sources and they are theater quality on my System. Never realized how poor a picture I had on my 6 yr old Samsung until now.

How do you get Stremio to work properly? I downloaded it and made an account but I still can’t watch. It tells me to download more “supportive apps” is what I believe it said, or something along the same lines.

Download on your computer and do stuff from there. It will transfer to your Stremio on all your devices. Faster and better.

Also, do the Torrention addon and I would get a Real-Debrid sub too.

As Pwerfader said. You need to go through the community addons and as he said, the best is Torrentio with RD added. If you have Real Debrid you will need to copy and paste the API key you get from their on line site. A link in the configure site is provided to get the key.

Both go to the same place. I forgot to mention in community addons there are also other addons for Movies and TV series and even Porn. Browse through them and choose your poisin.

I’m using 1.8.7. I agree, it’s basically unusable without CleanWeb. But I’m not currently having any issues with ads when using CleanWeb(?)

Could anyone who uses and is familiar with Stremio check and see if the new movie Dear David shows up for you? I get no streams found, but there are playable versions on other apps. Thinking my Stremio is bugging out on me which is unusual.

Ok. Update. I see that there are 2 movies with that same name and they both came out in 2023. The other apps are playing the wrong version of the movie. But Stremio still doesnt have either.

There are actually 3 movies by that name that came out in 2023. I think the one above is what you are looking for.

Thanks Miki. If it says its from Netflix its thrle wrong movie. Right name, wrong version.
