Your recent Torbox guide got my attention. So I signed up for the trial. Having used RD for years it sounded to good to be true. And dag nab it, it was amazing! Immediately after the trial I purchased the Essential for a year. By my limited sense of what scraping and seeding is; I remember Napster; the speed is fast, the quality is great and the selection of streams has not failed me yet. What’s not to like? Thanks Troy!

I tried TB Essential for 3 or 4 months starting November into January to February. I was underwhelmed. Fast forward 9 months after reading TP’s review, I subbed for a year during using the 30% coupon. I gotta say, the availability of cached links is much, much deeper. If you’re needing some older titles, RD is probably still better. My RD has about 30 days left, but it’s cheap enough that I’ll probably get another half year…always good to have a little redundancy.

It’d be nice if someone could poster a tutorial on how to use YB to upload largish files to send to family members across the country. My younger brother is a serious amateur photographer both nature & astronomy. His uncompressed files can be pretty large.

Your review on Torbox was awesome. I immediately switched. I originally used Real-Debrid, but when there was a chance that they may shut down, I went to Premiumize. Then after reading your review on Torbox, I tried it and agreed that I think it is the best. Now I only use Torbox. I find that Cinema HD does not use Torbox, so I can no longer use that app, but I hardly used it anyway as I can get all they have on Stremio and Kodi.

Whats the point of using Stremio and Kodi? Im new to this but looking to just watch movies, TV shows, and live TV. Why would you need both?

It depends on what you want to do.

For live TV, you’re going to be better off using neither. Look for a paid IPTV service or do Sportsfire & Streamfire, both you can easily look up on Troypoint.com.

For streaming TV shows & movies, Stremio is a much more direct approach for accessing content. However, it’s kind of a one trick pony…but it does it very well.

I’m a Kodi apologist for several reasons. It’s very versatile in that, with a good add-on, it can stream anything that Stremio does plus it does a great job of handling content stored on a local device. It can play almost any media, in any format, plus there’s options for adjusting volume, finding subtitles on line, etc.

If you prefer a more refined experience and/or like to have suggestions regarding what to watch, Stremio is really good. If you are frequently offline and you want to watch stuff on your harddrive, NAS or thumb drive stuck into your streaming device, Kodi is better.

@elginherd was spot on. You want an IPTV for Live TV (Sports, News, etc….) but KODI and Stremio are the kings for Shows/Movies VOD. Been using KODI for close to a decade. I tried Stremio a few years back and while everything worked I just hated the GUI interface. You will find much debate here on the 2

I used to be one of those debaters. Then I came to the realization that Kodi & Stremio have different missions, though what they can do does overlap.

If I was setting up a device for sale, I’d definitely install Stremio for the average customer. For me, I nearly always turn to Kodi.

Thank you for the tips guys! Do yall use free iPTVs or a paid one? And in terms of debrid services, will TorBox essential do the trick if Im looking to stream 4k movies/shows and share the account with a few people? Thanks for the help @SoloWarrior

Paid services and Torbox should fill your needs.

As far as discussing any IPTV service, you’ll have to become a ‘patron’ if I understand the rules correctly.

Yes, have Patron status, and then discuss unverified IPTV only in the locked IPTV category ….

Thanks, I have just become a patron. In terms of paid services and Torbox, Torbox is the paid service right? Then stremio is free?

I will check out the categories mentioned

Torbox is a paid Debrid service like Real Debrid and Premiumize. Nice thing with Torbox is you can share account with family and friends .Stremio is a free legal app available on Amazon App Store and Google Play Store. You will need to research how to integrate a Debrid service into Stremio.Lots of of guides out there from @TROYPOINT .
