Bank of Dave is a great movie based on a true story set in Burnley, northern England, during the 2098/2009 financial crisis. Dave business is the selling of mini buses and vans he’s been helping local people financially who are struggling. He decides he’d like to open a non profit making bank and donate to charity. Trouble is he has to take on the big guns from down south in London. First one came out 2023 with a second one very soon. Definitely worth at least checking the trailer

Trailer looks interesting… Looks like a sequel just came to Netflix as well 2 days ago. Bank of Dave 2 where he takes on the predator payday lenders…

I couldnt find a workable link on kodi for the documentary. I only found the movie and Bank of dave 2. Anyone find it on kodi?

Can anyone confirm if Bank Of Dave 2 is worth a watch? I watched the first one and really enjoyed it. Got a few hours later and thought I’d check it out. Opinions appreciated thanks

I watched both…the first one is GREAT and the second one is meh ok.
I watched it because im a “completist” with certain stuff. Here are my main reasons (without giving too much away):
■ To maintain continuity, it seems as though they used the same “Template” as the first one.
■ Specifically, a seemingly random “Love Interest” was written in to effort a sorta side drama like the first one.
■ The weird use of the famous Rock Band “Def Leppard” Great band and I love em but The use of them in this movie was not true to the actual efforts of Dave to save the bank.
■ The Court Drama (albeit really wetted-down this go around)
■ There are other instances that made me feel like the writers, directers, producers etc just wanted to get finished with it. This one is really subjective to viewer interpretation.

Your points are spot on with the movie interpretation of the actual events that took place in Bank of Dave.
But i think @Bernz is referring to the second documentary. I think it has something to do with predatory lending. Havent watched it yet myself.
The movie does add made up story lines and court drama while trying to relay the same message of David vs Goliath. It was a decent predictable movie but nothing too impressive. I was watching the documentary waiting for Def Leppard to show up.

All in all its worth a watch if you liked the First one. Just not as good iMHO.
Oh, there is a BoD2 Documentary and a BoD2 Movie. I didn’t know they made a movie about the second part already.
And they bring back DL for the second movie as well?

This one is on my long list to watch but I just started the Patience TV series and have found that I really like it.
Anyhow one of the most wonderful things about streaming, movies and TV, is that if it’s not good or holding your interest you can just move on. I’ve started movies and TV shows and found that I didn’t like them so I just found something else.

Im lost…
As far as i can tell there were 2 documentaries…The Bank of Dave and The Bank of Dave 2. Both made in 2013 to 2015ish time. I have only watched the first BoD documentary. Can’t find BoD2 links.
Then the Netflix movie Bank of Dave came out in 2023ish. Followed by a more Netflixed Bank of Dave 2.
Am i wrong?

Hi Everyone
We did watch it last night and it has all the ingredients to be a hit for the family to watch. It has good Vs evil, trans Atlantic cooperation, girl meets boy and a well known rock band. So if anyone is at a loose end you can’t really go wrong by watching Bank of Dave 1&2, we’re all critics to some degree but this film isn’t political or sexist. I suggest kick your shoes off, sit back and enjoy ps have a nice weekend Br Bernie
