I really can’t see that. They’re the only ones to blame trying to take in so much with virtually limited capital only hoping. Bally’s purchase was to help maximize and their profits by integrating their gambling into it. I’m guessing they took a huge hit by creating the standalone app to watch games in as well. That couldn’t be cheap

They might ‘blame’ streamers because a lot of streamers that use verified services are cutting the cable and are willing to live with the lack of availablity to view their local team.
MLB was ahead of the other major sports in offering a good app & subscription, but because of their current contracts, they have blacked out local teams. And most people who want to watch baseball are really not baseball fans in general, but fans of their local clubs.

I heaar ya Miki…for me I’m a Reds fan (AKA: masochist) & Guardians (AKA Indians) fan. I have had the MLB app available for free because I’m a T-Moblie customer (AKA victim). For the first season or two, I could fool the filters via a VPN, but they’ve figured it out so that doesn’t work anymore.
Powerfader, I doubt that woke, unwoke, asleep means anything about whether someone cuts the cord or avoids paying yet an extra fee for another ‘sports tier’. A lot of people won’t pay that extra just to catch a few innings of their favorite team. $15-$20 a month on top of the other added on taxes, local broadcast fee, gateway rental, etc is excessive.

IMHO, Betcha a lot of folks are fed up with the politicizing of sports and are watching less and subscribing less.
When I lived down in Florida, I knew tons of people that walked away to some degree and the first and easiest way is not buy a sports package.
Piss off enough people and that will affect the bottom-line in any industry.
Btw, being woke or not has absolutely nothing to do with cutting the cord, but it does have something to do with paying subscribers.
