I am getting a Sony Atmos suround sound receiver that has ARC and ARC+ My question is my Optoma projector has just standard HDMI connections ( just regular ) . Can I still get Atmos from my 2019 Nvidia Shield Pro and do I hook up the Shield to one of the receiver’s ARC connections or to a regular HDMI then back to the projector . Will that get me Atmos sound through Kodi pass-through ?

I read it but I’m not sure that answers my question . All I want to know is if I run a cable from my Sheild Pro to my Sony receiver should I plug it in to the ARC hdmi or a regular hdmi then back to my Optoma that has a regular hdmi plug will I still get Atmos sound through Kodi pass-through ?
But I don’t have arc on my projector . It’s just regular Hdmi . The receiver i may get does have it . Nvidia to Receiver to projector for Atmos . I am very confused .

I don’t have ARC on my Projector an I am running Nvidia to the receiver with arc .
