AT&T Reveals Massive Hack With Nearly All Wireless Customers Impacted,

Yes I was part of that AT&t. I’m getting free year of Experian services.

This is the second breach reported this year. I wasnt part of the one from a few months ago but looks like we are all involved with this new one.

The breach in the article above is from April. The information they actually got was from longer ago, maybe May 2022 to Jan 2023. So if you didn’t have service with them back then you wouldn’t be affected.

Yes but the other breach was from earlier than that. 2 different breaches.

The only one that I remember being reported this year was actually from 2021 and had data collected from 2019. Seems it takes AT&T a long time to notice (or report) a breach.

Exactly. I just signed up with them in 2019 and must have missed out on the breach. Never got notified. @AJS1 wasnt so lucky apparently.

The new one seems to be call and text logs but not content of text. Or so they say today. :crossed_fingers:

Its really getting to the point that it’s not if you will get your info compromised but when and how often.

No disrespect to Filipino people intended but what do you expect when your call services in the island of the Philippines. Their service department is allowed to remote your computer to fix the PC or whatever problem you have. So if these companies in America can’t keep hackers out of their system what makes them think they can keep them out of Filipino company in the Philippines?

No business has been hacked more then every department of the federal government. But, they caught it in time. Must nice to investigate yourself.

Received an email from them this morning

Yup got the same one.

At least protecting our data is their top priority.

Same here!

I was an AT@T customer for ONLY SIX DAYS …4/14/22-4/20/22…the month prior to their admission being May 2024 and ALL of my info, including SS#, was hacked.
At present, I am still receiving over 200 fraudulent calls, emails and texts PER DAY.
I believe all prior customers’ information should be fully deleted on the same day they are no longer a customer.

That’s really got to suck! Sorry to hear that!
