I have seen people putting Android TV on thumb drive and booting from it. I saw a video where they just put it on the hard drive.Sadly I can not find that one again.
Here is my deal, I bought the Lenovo from ebay, no OS or hard drive, has i5 4570t processor and 16bg ram, I bought a 512gb SSD and put in it and have an HDMI port coming for it, has wifi and bluetooth.
I want to make it in to a tv box and figure with the storage I may download some shows or movies I have liked.
Can I put Android TV in to the box with out an OS or will I need to install an OS and which one would I use? I imagine an OS would make it easier to work with the content downloaded.
I will add that I know nothing about any of this stuff, but some guidance to get me going and I will figure it out more than likely or I may leave the smoke out of the box.
