Android Box on TCL Roku TV

Can I install an Android Box on TCL Roku TV? I read something about The Roku was a different operating system which begs me to ask does the Android Box use its own operating system or that of the TV? Thanks

A streaming device has it’s own OS installed. Yes Roku is different from FireTV, AndroidTV, or GoogleTV but as long as your TV has an HDMI port to plug your device into it will make any TV a Smart TV. Samsung TVs have Tizen and streaming devices work fine. Same for Roku.
