Help and hello. MX Player (the one I got off of toolbox at least a year or so ago) for my Fire stick 3rd gen for the last 2 months or so has been saying “No Internet Connection” every time I try and get subtitles. It has always worked until about 2 months ago. I went thru and cleared all cache and restarted my Fire stick, that didn’t work. I’ve check for updates and I uninstalled MX Player and reinstalled it from toolbox and that didn’t work. I don’t know what else to do. Oh, I am connected to the internet. Help, please!!! I don’t know what else to do. Thank you and please advise.

Ok, so I read the article and I guess I’m being stupid because I’m still not understanding why the subtitles aren’t working and says no internet connection. I guess I’ll just keep wondering as that article did not explain it to me.

Interesting that it now comes installed on firesticks but the streaming apps we use (“unverified”) can’t use it.

Use VLC player instead. Always works for me.

Try Nova Media Player … on the Playstore it has a very customizable interface and is simple to use. plays everything. Enjoy.
