All right this Alexa is really beginning to tick me off. I was trying different voice commands to open Tivimate and play the ABC channel. I tried all sorts of commands to no avail. Then I simply say āAlexa play ABCā. Ya know what the smart ass does? Go ahead guess!!!
She freaking starts singing her ABCs. Thatās it, sheās permanently shut off. Wife laughed so hard at the look on my face I thought she was going to pass out. Darn that Alexa.

I scream at Alexa all the time she never listens to me.
I only only use it to turn on/off some lights, as a cooking timer and time/weather info. I just found out that i can use it as an intercom and talk through the other alexa.
I can see it now in the not so distant futureā¦
āTo turn on your light please pay $1.00 to your Amazon Alexa account or for an additional $7.99 per month have unlimited light and timer access.ā
I had that a long time ago and ended up divorcing her because she talked too much.

Pay to play keeps reaching insane levels. Just when you think they are done they are trying to grab more $ from you.
From Amazon charging to watch ads. To Auto makers charging monthly fees to warm your seat or atart your car. To DAZN charging people a monthly fee to watch programming so they can pay more to watch PPV events. To Video games charging $ to upgrade your player.
Only Prime is getting my $ but Iām waiting for the next shipping only competitor to come.

Amazon has come up with every way possible lately to try and find ways to nickel-and-dime their customers, including those who have paid the increased cost of Prime. Theyāre now going to be including commercials on Prime Video unless subscribers pay more for it each month (I think itās $2.99). This is just more of the same.
This will be my last year with prime/amazon. I use it mainly for the delivery and easy returns but ive made contact with most of the vendors I buy from and most have free shipping with a $$$ minimum purchase. Ive never really used prime video except back when I started, now I can view commercial free without them. Ive used alexas smart speakers to listen to music/podcast etcā¦But now iām setup with podcast apps and radio appsā¦and my good old radio if neededā¦ So cut the cord now days also means cutting some streamers etc.
Iāve always been a fan of Philo TV and will continue to support them untill they also lose touch with reality and yesā¦no loyalties here as I will cut them too

Voice control and digital assignments suck the tech isnt up to par to pay itās not like I can talk to it like a person and it actually understands me and does what I ask. IDK why some people require voice control
I love my voice commands, especially voice search. Saves me a ton of typing. On long replies here I use voice typing.
