I saw one thread about this but it’s long since closed so I can’t ask questions. I use Nvidia Shield tubes on both of my TVs. I need a mouse I can use in the settings for Kodi so I can toggle buttons on and off and move the sliders left and right. I have no idea what an air mouse is. Some of the suggested products on Amazon look more like remotes? Will I need a separate one for each Shield?

I bought this one for the wife’s KM6 Deluxe.
Unfortunately Nvidia Shield tubes don’t have USB ports.
OTG cable might work for it?

All else fails, maybe you can trade 2 tubes for 1 Pro? (kidding lol) I do think the OTG might work though.
I use Mouse Toggle and Shield TV Remote. Mouse Toggle is great for just running the cursor around and clicking. The Shield TV Remote is A W S O M E ! It can do everything and then some of whatever you need a mouse, pad, keyboard, plus have access to all your apps and setting all in one!
At the risk of sounding stupid I assume the Shield TV Remote you’re referring to is a different device than the remote that came with the Shield?
It’s an app you can install on any Android device. I have it installed on my Samsung S8 phone and my Fire HD 10 Tablet. If you have a Shield, this app is a must!
Tbh, I have the Mouse Toggle and the Shield Remote app installed and have NEVER found the need to use any other form of remote mouse/keyboard.
This is a FREE app and worth the time to install it.

P.S. I have never needed this to change settings in Kodi. If you downloaded Kodi from the app store it should be the Android version. You can just use the directional buttons on your stock remote to select the toggle you want to change and then click the select button. If the toggle is on/off it will move left/right when you click on it. If it’s a slider with more options you just click on it to select it then use your directional buttons to slide it left/right to where you want then click the back button.
Ok I tried your method on the sliding buttons in the settings for the Umbrella and Crew addons. This is the button within the long oblong setting. When I click on it it the button turns blue momentarily but nothing I do to the buttons using my Shield remote make the button slide to the left or right. That’s why I need a mouse.
There’s a swipe pad, also. You can do anything on this as you would on your laptop keyboard and mousepad.
Idk what to tell you. I have a shield and Kodi and I don’t have that problem. Your remote has a circle for the select button and a ring around it? That ring around it is the directional buttons. Up, down, left, right. Should be able to select the slider, turns blue, push left or right on that ring to move the slider.
If that’s really not working then download the shield remote app. It’s free.
