Does anyone know how to get the aftv news downloader app on a usb drive?
If you mean as an APK file that’s fairly easy, use a file explorer (I use MiXplorer). Mount the USB and find the mount point with the file explorer, then go to the apps directory and copy the downloader app to the clipboard which will create a .apk file and write it from the clipboard to the USB.
Now the trouble starts. Android is pretty quirky about side loading APKs that originate from the Play Store but it can be done.
If you want it installed onto a USB, that’s a problem. You would need a bootable USB install and then install downloader into that OS.
The good news is it can be done but I haven’t needed to do it so while I have done so with Linux a few times I haven’t with Android so I can’t provide details. Google may be evil but they are your friend.
