Android TV / Google TV question, not Fire TV
I’ve searched in here and everywhere I can think of, but I’m unable to find what I’m looking for, maybe because the search terms are too ambiguous, but is there a way to add a button or “app” icon to the ATV Launcher Pro (or any custom launcher) that when clicked it simply restarts the device?
I don’t want to remap a button on my remote, I want to create a “parents proof” home screen that reboots/restarts the streaming device.
I have ADB access and am willing to try this in a shortcut way?
Or a widget in the launcher?
Or is there some app that lets you kill processes and just like that with a restart button inside it?
As a last resort I guess I would be willing to map to a remote button where it opens up the android tv “settings” DIRECTLY to the restart selection in the menu if that’s possible… but I’m trying to completely lock them out of the settings all in all.
On the previous Fire TV box I used TDUK’s Launcher Manager which at least limited the settings they would see, yet still my dad went in there and instead of clicking RESTART he clicked RESET and even eff’in confirmed it and wiped the entire device.
If it can’t be done I’ll just lock it all away and make him unplug every time… but I’d rather not lol
And to be clear, I don’t really, REALLY have a way I’m locking him out, I just unmapped the settings button on the remote and put all apps that can get to settings in a hidden “launcher section” with no title 
This onn pro with Google TV on Android TV 12 has a setting to put a PIN on all changes being made to any setting, but I think when I installed my custom launcher that went away.
