I’m trying to install adb app.I’m at the point where its trying to connect to my IP address.but it’s telling me to make sure the target device has network adb enabled.I don’t know what that means
Using Troy’s ADB Shell app, when you first install and run it you should get a pop up with a box you click to allow adb on the device. Also make sure you have adb debugging enabled in the developer options on the device you are using. As each device has it’s own unique challenges, please let us know what device you are using, it makes it easier to give exact directions.
Good Morning Miki.right now all it’s doing is trying to connect to my IP address.I watch Troypoint’s video on installing X-plore and I have to have the app ADB installedwhen you say device.does that mean my firestick or what?
what does devices running 4.2.2 mean
ADB isn’t an app, in your firestick you go into settings>My Fire TV>Developer options>ADB debugging and click to turn it on.
Now the Remote ADB Shell is a little “app” that allows you to enter ADB commands and the very first time you run it a pop-up should appear saying you need to allow ADB debugging and you click the little box to do so. When you then open the Remote ADB Shell on the Firestick you should not have to enter the I.P.Address shown in My Fire TV>About>Network as it will have it’s own internal IP Address which will always be 127.0.0.1 and that goes on the top line and the second line should have 5555 after which you click “connect”. Then a window pops up with
kara:/ $
and your cursor should be on the line at the bottom and clicking the enter button on the remote will open your keyboard to enter any commands you want. Please let me know how you make out.
I believe that’s Android 4.2.2 on mobile devices like phones.
I actually used the IP of my device. I had read about PC installation before I knew there was a firestick install and of course it needed to know that. I’ve had no problems doing that way.
Oh ya using your actual IP addy works. It’s just an extra step and for those having problems the internal IP of all firesticks is easier.
ok I still have the same problem.I used the 127 and my IP #.all it’s doing is trying to connct to my IP address.I uninstall the app and reinstall it.when I use my IP address, all it does is trying to connect.when I use the 127,everything shrinks.I just can’t to seem to anything with this
Have youe found your IP address and what your Firestick is connected matches?
for some reason I didn’t let ADB install.my connection is short today.but everything is working some thanks for all support from you people.again thank you
that should read slow connection
