Just saw a review of the $429 Superbox Supreme. Is this something I can give to my mother or anyone who wants to get out of the $100+/month trap, but is not computer literate? Or is this just a more high-powered device still basically like many of the others (Firestick, ONN boxes, Android boxes)?
Cheapest and best route is ONN 4k box with iptv

See what programs and channels that she likes.
An ONN 4k or 4k Plus for $20 & $30 plus maybe on of the verified options may be an answer. If Friendly or another verified cheapie might suit her. You can get 9-10 months of one of Slingâs plans for what youâre paying for that Superbox. The reason behind looking at verified options is a matter of somewhat justified paranoia. I wouldnât want you worrying about Grandma making sure that she has a VPN engaged or not.

Iâve got 3 ONN 4K+ boxes and love âem, but I canât send one of those to my Mother as I would be on the phone with her for the rest of my life!
That Superbox looks like it is loaded up already so a novice could just click and play. The $400 is steep, but if it would let my Mom get off cable it would be worth it for me. Just looking for anyone who is familiar with the Superbox to give me a tip whether or not to send it to her.

I did this for my older brother 84 years old, and he can work with this, tech is not his thing. I use the onn 4k pro set up app only mode, This blocks out all the ads with https://tivimate.com/ set up your IPTV provider, then add all her favorite channels in Favorites. And with tivimate you can hide the categories you donât her to see. Would save you money good luck.

Not much love for these pre-programmed boxes here on TP. Honestly, though, she sounds like an ideal candidate for a vSee box, if you can afford it.

After reading reviews and watching videos, Iâve decided the Superbox Supreme is not the answer for my Mom. So I will load up an ONN 4K+ with IPTV, eliminate all the clutter, and take it with me to her house so I can give a hands-on demonstration of how to use it.

Thatâs a better plan, IMO. Even my wife gets along with using the ONN and TiviMate. All that I did was set up a category especially for her.

If she is my age 76, and porn is not blocked, maybe we could hook up? Give us oldies a break, ask first. but my feeling os spendin that much money, only $369 on ebay is that the Country of Origin China which could contain viruses. If you want something top line get a Shield top of the line for around $200. Then get her a simple iptv service that you can eliminate all languages whe does not speak nut has a good selection of movies and seies.
The SB S7 is a great box for people with top of the line graphic abilities and audio dolby but if her tv is low midrange and her tv is close to he wifi she will not need most features the box comes with . PM me if you want help with specifics.
Sb S7 is newest version and I have SB S 6 for $100 less with SB S5 new and even cheaper. Compare the updated versions first
