Troy, bummer that you got a dud but I’m going to give you a different experience. I use ONN Boxes now they are great but hate to see you roasting these cheap chinas boxes again.
Before getting my ONN boxes I used 2 T95Z Plus AOSP “Cheap China Boxes” for about 6 years. Never had a problem, never cleaned them, never had any over heating problems, never shut em off.
And I never found the Malware I was told that was on them
Just giving you the other side of the story. Still have them. I retired them not because they stopped working I just wanted to move ONN
If Google ever goes the way of what Amazon is doing, I won’t think twice about firing those “Cheap China Boxes” back up and won’t even wipe the dust off
I agree with you about the T95Z Plus and we had tutorials for that box and it is/was great. But buyers also need to understand that there are junk devices like the one I just tried. It’s not only junk but a fire hazard.
We will always be looking for good AOSP boxes that don’t break the bank and run well.
bless their heart, they didn’t know any better. folks still think there is better than what you report on this page. they will learn after they finish throwing their money down the garbage disposal.
But yes, tread carefully about hardware. Streaming is another matter entirely. It gets bad press. But pick a genuine supplier and it’s good. Heads-up: MANY of 'Western" providers are simply conduits for Chinese mega-beasts.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEVICE AND IF YOU HAVE ONE, THROW IT IN THE TRASH AS IT MIGHT BURN DOWN YOUR HOUSE!
