I’m new here, so please be kind. I just bought the newest Firetv Cube, 3rd Gen. I followed the directions and tried to install Kodi from the Downloader app on it. Everything was fine until I hit install. That progress line completed, then the message “Not Installed” popped up. Is there ANY way to get around this, or is this another of Amazon’s steps to ruin the Fire line of products? TIA.

I have the cube 3 and kodi installs fine. Did you enable developer options? And enable downloader to download apps?

Yes, I did both. This is the newest version of the Gen 3 cube, the one with the ethernet port. I also have the previous Gen 3 model that doesn’t have that port, and Kodi installed fine on that.

Make sure its not the 64bit version?

Not sure what the problem was, but I did a factory reset on the boc & it installed OK.

Go into settings and click , install unknown apps.
