Just asking because I was using 3rd party security cameras for about 3 years. But until late last year or around the time when Alexa+ came out, I noticed my cameras stop working with Alexa. I could still view the live feed on my phone but Alexa kept telling me that it cannot show the camera. So not sure if its something simple to fix or do I need to replace all of my cameras. I have about 10 cameras, thanks.

There are many options on amazon and walmart. I have a couple of solar powered security cameras. They work well. They are different brands though so I do have to open separate apps to view them on my android phone. You can install micro sd cards for recording. No subscription required.

Roku is cheaper and their cameras are made by wyze. $9.99 per month for all roku cameras or 3.99 per camera. I have 4 roku cameras simply for the ease of use, and the cheaper monthly subscription. I had looked at ring, blink, tapo by tplink and roku was the best overall deal for me. They have battery cameras that run for months on a single charge.
Stay away from RING or any surveillance camera that charges to record. I just switched to a 8 camera setup and have full control. I took a shot and was surprised at how great the picture was and it integration. I bought the REOLINK brand. It’s been up and running for a year now with no issues at all. You can go all wireless or wired and even a combo. I’ve had security cameras since the 80’s and this one by far for the price and quality beat out my $5K system I had… very happy. If you don’t know, RING and the others allow the police, FBI or any other government agency to access YOUR PRIVATE cameras and recordings WITHOUT YOU EVEN KNOWING!! No warrant and when ever they want as long as it’s accessed from the dept HQ. This is in the US and specifically Connecticut, so I can only imagine what is done in other countries.
