I have a 2019 Shield Pro for sale. I am in Canada and would like to get $80 USD plus the cost of shipping by courier. I will wipe it and turn it back to factory. Opened every three months to blow out the dust on the board. Never had a problem with it and presently It is updated to the latest firmware. Got a gel cover for the remote. Oh and I have a paypal account.

Saw Troy’s email about the new “Swap Shop” idea from you. Bravo this is cool. Not interested in your Shield but just wondering how bidding wars will be handled? I see @termn8er is interested and you 2 appear to have a deal but what if someone then jumps in and says “I’ll give you $100 for it”? Is it just a decision by whoever is selling the device?

That’s a really great point. Up to Troy and Miki, but I’m wondering if the safer play is to require the actual “bidding” or offering via DM. That way the seller can make a decision without the rest of the forum seeing what has taken place with negotiations. After all, the seller should have final say and that privacy might allow a less biased outcome.

Won’t happen. This isn’t about bidding. I put a fair price on it and @termn8er said he would take it so it’s his. First come first served. At least that’s what I do. For me it’s an honour thing. What others do is their business.

I totally agree. All negotiations and info has to be in PM. Don’t want names and addresses out in the public eye. Once sold please put “sold” in the title. Better yet, when doing say delivery instruction it might be better if you share personal email addresses in PM. My email is encrypted so that makes it even more private.

My initial thoughts when wondering if a type of “Trading-Post” or “Swap Shop” could work on here was because I have a bunch of stuff that is too good to go to e-waste. I would much rather see someone here get it than anywhere else. I have no interest in e-bay whatsoever and really hated the idea of still usable items just gathering dust. I will be posting items here soon and am sure it will go to a good insider, and will be helpful for them. Thanks to miki for the assist with the idea, and Thanks to Troy for making it happen!
