Are you using a launcher like projectivy? On mine it shows up at the bottom of the list under mobile apps.

In Projectivy launcher just go to settings an move the app to favorerts .

If itā€™s listed under mobile apps this could means the app is a AOSP app and not an Android TV OS app and may not work correctly on some devices as with it not showing up on the Home Screen running Google Tv or Android Tv OS. Unless there is an Android Tv version of the app available.

Like with Stremio there two versions of the app for Android.

I simply Downloaded the app as per Troyā€™s instruction. The APK is listed as Android TV and my device is Android TV. The Shorcut showed up just fine on the homescreen as I said. So I donā€™t think itā€™s the Android TV that is the issue.

I donā€™t understand why it doesnā€™t show on the Home Screen for users on the Onn devices and the Shield if it is an Android TV os app. Also it can be used on mobile devices with touchscreen so I think it is more likely to be a AOSP app than android TV app because they donā€™t have touchscreen features.

The best way would be to analyse the APK with Android studio to see it declares the android software leanback feature in the manifest.

@Avid08 @Miki I donā€™t like these Shi$ APKā€™s but installed this on my ONN 4K Pro as a test to see if it appears on my home screen with the Apps. Nope it does not I have to get to it through the menu options. And oh by the way like most of these crappy APKā€™s itā€™s riddled with Ads

I agree I have deleted it completely. I only installed this garbage to see if in fact it was an ONN issue and not a specific Android TV issue. As my device is Android TV and the shortcut appears on my home screen I can only deduce that itā€™s an ONN issue. But I agree. The little vids are annoying.

I have just tested it and it is riddled with ads as you say but it does seem to work on a mobile device with touchscreen features and a mobile layout which makes me think itā€™s a mobile app and not an Android tv os app.
