Like JayHawke said, it is a subject that won’t go away. Differing opinions will always be there and my answer to why I went from Kodi to APKs back to Kodi is, it works for me. Don’t care why

I have the Firestick 4k Max & don’t use a build. I installed the 20.2 Kodi with Fen & Seren, Wizard, a4kSubs and Ariel and that’s it.
I also have syncler but use Kodi for 99% of my streaming and it’s worked out great for me. It would make an awesome backup as well.
Is Kodi worth it? HELL YES. Thank you for asking.

What do you use Wizard, Ariel and a4kSubs for? I have FEN and a sports build and I get everything I ever look for. But I’m open to new add ons if they are good. Thanks.

I use Wizard for maintenance. Ariel for screensaver and A4kSubs for subtitles, I’m partially deaf.

Everyone has their own opinions about Kodi
We all find different ways to watch TV. Films. Sport etc. It great to read different opinions and we are all different people who are talking about a great system like Kodi. Also it gets users to talk about their experiences with using Kodi. It’s great to see everyone talking and that is so important so we can all solve problems if they come up.

back in the day’s I used Kodi a lot,but now I mostly use Syncler,it’s a better format like netflix
Does A4kSubs work with all add-on apps or just certain ones?

Works with all the addons. Once you select it from your zipfile go to your settings - select Player and from there Subtitles.
Default Movie & Tv select a4kSubtitles.
Make sure to enable subtitles in each addon. Some addons like Fen does not have that option, but the Subs are added to them.
Can’t lose with a4k, best of the rest.

I used Kodi back in the Genesis and exodus days. Used it for 5 or 6 years. Tried other stand alone apps. Eventually settled on Syncler. Been using it since it came out and the + version was free. Now it costs $5/mo for 10 devices. It is more stable with less updates and addon related issues.
I also stopped using Firestick/cube/etc devices. Currently using 2 ONN, a Nvidia Shield, a TiVo 4k, and a Samsung Tablet. Syncler works tremendously well. Very stable. It’s a bit convoluted to purchase and install but nothing a cord cutter shouldn’t be able to figure out.
Why wouldn’t I? Well, I started using TiviMate 3 years ago or so and haven’t looked back since. Never wanted to try Kodi. No need! I have several paid IPTV services as well as 5 m3u8’s and navigate in, out and around with ease. So, why would I?
I have a few excellent paid IPTV services as well but only use for Live TV and Sports. Yes you can record in Tivimate but I prefer KODI for all my VOD Shows/movies. I don’t watch shows live and prefer watching my shows without commercials
