I run a speed test for my VPN on analiti I get 99 mbps,on def squid l get 47 mbps This is a huge difference which do I believe, And why is there such a big difference? I am on an Nvidia shield pro
Hi @Boligee
So the difference in the speed can be accounted, most likely, for by Analiti connecting to a different server and DefSquid connecting to a different server.
Ok,that makes sense,but what speed is my device receiving?
So, they are both correct, since they are connecting from your device out to those separate servers. The constant is your device being at your location, and the variable is the servers that your device is connecting to, to do the test.
Thanks for that info,because it can be a bit confusing when you don’t know much about speed tests
@Boligee
Your welcome no worries.
As long as you have 25-30mbps download speed with your VPN connected, then you will be good to go.
It’s a good idea to check your speed once in awhile if you start to notice problems streaming, otherwise don’t need to give it much more attention.
You can always come back to the forum for help with any issues. Lots of people happy to help.
Unless the speed test identifies the server it is using for the test. Then the test is meh. I will trust the tried and proven Analiti test. It is used by most and is proven.
