What's your favorite Sports Movie? And why?

Hawaii Five-O 2010. I really like the show a lot too bad it quit after 10 seasons.

Forgot one on my favorites. White Men Can’t Jump.

Is that a movie or a statement?

It is a movie (comedy). Not a statement. Black and white basketball hustlers join forces to double their chances of winning money on the street courts and in a basketball tournament. 1992

  • [Stars]
    • [Wesley Snipes]
    • [Woody Harrelson]
    • [Rosie Perez]

I was just messing around, I know it is a really good movie. I was 8 when it came out, but it was one of my favorites as a kid. Haven’t seen it in a long time.

There’s a remake of White Men Can’t Jump scheduled for release in May 2023. We’ll see how it compares to the original.

Slap shot was pretty freaking funny

Just want to give an honorable mention to Friday Night Lights.

Something about seeing a great football team overcome adversity, perform really well, but ultimately lose is just authentic to me and I like it.

Not my favorite but since we are talking about Sports movies, Shooting Stars debuted last night. It’s about Lebron’s early days in High School how he and his 3 buddies he played with since 10 years old dominate High School basketball. It was pretty good

American Underdog. Based on the true story of Kurt Warner.

Bait shop was one of my favorite comedies love to fish

The Natural; the movie changed the book’s ending and made it upbeat

For Love of the Game; nothing like Vin Scully calling the game…best ever
