Hello I’m hoping this is the right area. Today I have a 4 connection account with Kemo and I have visited 3 different family members homes and got them setup on UHF with AppleTV and the same login and password. The three big headaches are when my login details change (server or password), sitting with a relative and going through all the channel bouquets I think they’re called to select the channels they want, and when one relative starts consuming more than one connection at a time blocking someone out.
Searching around the forums and on the broader internet it seems that buying a reseller panel with some number of credits might be a better way to go. I could setup each family member with their own username and password and their connection limits dont impact other family members. If I wasnt sharing my own username and password I can think of like another 3 or 4 people I might share with.
Is this what a panel is for?
Do credits usually expire or is it like being able to prepay for service?
I thought about using m3u4u but two relatives watch alot of the on demand stuff so it’d be a complicated setup I think.
Appreciate any help or suggestions on reaching the goal.
_edit_ I think I should have mentioned. I recently got an 8k account and really love it. I saw panels advertised which got me thinking about it
A reseller panel is where you would issue a credit and set up a username and password for each “customer”. Credits shouldn’t expire unless the service disappears
With your current setup - 4 connection uses same user name / password on 4 devices. you could setup each connection on a device with different fav group settings, hide content you don’t want etc, these settings would be done on the IPTV app.
A reseller panel - you buy bulk credits, normally enough for 10 one year connections ( 120 credits, 12 credits for yearly connection)
You would be able to create the username, password and url for each different user - can when creating the service connection choose the content to include.
If you aren’t looking to basically start an IPTV business, you could be just looking for an IPTV editor. This would allow you to fully customize groups (add/subtract), edit channel names, etc etc within your current IPTV sub. Is that what you are after?
@AMD237 Thanks for asking! I dont want to start a business, but I do want to offer up a more tailored solution to my family and friends if I can swing it.
I have experience with M3U4U, Threadfin, and NextPVR when it comes to editing the channel line up. I’ve used these in the past to restream through Jellyfin to my family but the speed of channels starting up and then changing the channel was too much of an ask for daily driving. It was really convenient because then they could access the media library all in one place along with TV.
I guess your right. The very most basic solution would be to buy an account from Amber baby for each family member and then in my M3U4U account clean up their line up so that it was easy for them to navigate. I would need to also setup their players for direct login so that they can get the VOD offerings though.
Is there something like M3U4U that also will pass through or can also update the VOD offerings?
Most peeps in our position use Reseller panel for friends and family.
We do not advertise or use this as a business.
Amberbaby will setup a reseller panel for you if needed.
You can simply ask her for content you need - eg US, Canada, UK, Sports / same for VODs
This way you will not load all the country groups you will never use
I panel will allow you to choose the groups/categories but not customize the channel list. So if one wants Canada content and the others don’t you can set it up like that if you have a panel with individual accounts for each. If you have multiple connections same user/password you would have to add Canada and then remove it for each one.
It may be worthwhile for you to research RCloud Systems, and see if it may be something that would work for you.
VOD I think you can edit in the player, I have not seen anything that edits it outside of the player, it probably exists I just have not seen it.
