Btw, direct is ALWAYS what you want your AVR set on if the stream includes the audio channels you desire. Only set it to something different if you’re playing something like an old movie that only has a stereo audio track and you want to enhance it. This is exactly why I use Kodi and I turn on multi line source list. The file name should tell you how many audio channels there are. You can also configure your Kodi and/or device settings to upmix stereo sources.
And DD+ is still compressed audio. Don’t listen to the marketing lies. Not all Dolby Atmos is equal. In my mind it’s TrueHD or bust.
