There may be a simple answer to this question, I just don’t know what it is. If 2 devices or all android devices say you must format a usb drive to fat32 in order to use it on your device in order to add apps, or move apps from internal drive to usb drive for the sake of space, then why can’t that same usb drive be used in a different android device, that requires the usb to be fat32 also.
In the case of firesticks it’s coded by the OS to be used only on that firestick.
