Here is a playlist with 142 channels and below that is an epg with 430 channels. I assign ALL my epg url’s to all playlist. So if you have paid services, or more freebie epg url’s go ahead and assign them to all your playlist. Just prioritize them with the lead epg being the one that is dedicated for that specific playlist. In other words, make this CA epg be in the #1 spot in priority. I use 16 different epg’s to help populate my playlists. Keep in mind, not all epg’s are coded the same way and may not be compatible with some playlists. Don’t worry though, you can’t hurt anything.

There are only 94 channels in the USTVGO playlist and there are only b94 channels in the epgsparkle list. All of them have this prefix: USTVGO: US: You can type that into channel names editor>>Prefixes to remove. Then all of the 94 channels will lose that prefix. But I still needed to go in to “Assign EPG” and assign a specific channel.
If you are talking about the other playlist with over 1,100+ channels and NO epg assigned. Then no way am I going to go to each individual channel to search for an epg. I MAY? create a favorites list and then see how many channels will load an epg. Then decide whether I want to fool around with assigning the empty ones. But there is no way I am going to look for 1,122 channels individually! Shoot, I am not even certain I am going to keep that playlist on my player anyway. I already have 10-11 other urls with epgs that have the same content. So I am just making copies of what I already have in place and complete with working epg’s.
I only wanted the USTVGO playlist with a working epg, and I finally got it done! The other playlist is just some fluff for those who either don’t care about not having epg and just want a bunch of channels. Although that playlist does have a whole bunch of local major channels!
In fact, my cursor is floating right on the delete playlist button as I am typing this! lol
Btw, that 1,122 url only has about 15 Canadian channels and about 134 UK channels which I am totally not interested in. The USA channels are mostly stuff I already have loaded on my Tivimate, and am not too interested in some local ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox station out of Oklahoma or some other far off location. But there may be some folks who like to watch stuff from all over the land.

Ive added these epg’s to tivimate with some success. Ive also enabled all epgs for all playlist. This could possibly cause a slowdown but so far im still seeing population of channel guides. Time will tell…

Yes! Use what you have. Some epg’s are better than others. I have 2 of these already installed, but I will add the directtv one now. Thanks! Btw, is that spelled directv or is it directtv. Local channels are always the tuff ones to find. Also, there are a lot of channels from weird sources that I have no clue where they come from like Lonestar tv, Freebie TV, Haunt Tv, and so on. What I usually do with these rouge urls is make a favorites list of channels that I like and an epg has generated. Then I might look for a few channels that interest me and see if I can find an epg for them. I mean, really, how many channels after the 1st 15K are you really going to watch!? LOL

lol… im hovering around 12,000 channels right now and I still cant find anything to watch 
… jus kidding I only watch around 5 channels on a regular basis…its a hobby collecting

I have 100% of the channels with an accurate active epg. Took me about 20 minutes of fooling with it while I was watching Fox news and making my dinner.

I’m watching this horror channel on this new m3u I just installed, and I doubt seriously if I am going to find an epg for a channel named “Bloody Disgusting”! I mean, really, who ever heard of a channel named that!? I think these guys sit around smokin’ pot and come up with stupid names just to get a laugh!

Anyone figured out how to get the cursor from jumping up one slot when typing in a url? This is most likely many peeps error when putting in the info.

I know! I sometimes forget about that glitch when typing using the Nvidia onscreen and my remote. If I am going to be doing a few loooong urls. I will use the Remote Phone App. I use both the phone remote and onscreen for my tablet. I haven’t been able to figure out how to disable the space after a punctuation, yet when using the Nvidia onscreen keyboard.

Using Tivimate here is how you can edit channel names in an epg. While on the “Channels Panel” long press the “OK” button to open Settings>>Channel Options>>Channel Names Editor>>Prefixes/Suffixes to Remove. Type in the prefix/suffix exactly as it appears. Then all channels with that prefix/suffix will erase that specific prefix, or suffix. Separate each prefix/suffix you wish to erase with a comma and space. Then type in the next one.
Remember for an epg to populate a playlist. The playlist channel name and epg name MUST match EXACTLY! If they don’t, then most likely it will not automatically generate a guide for that specific channel. Then you would need to go into the Tivimate Settings>>Assign EPG>>Search. Then see if you can find a channel that matches and then assign it. Once the channel is assigned it should update from that assigned location. For url’s with a 100’s & 1,000’s of channels. I suggest first doing a “favorites” folder and then try to find epg to match them.
For most of these freebie m3u’s I usually only put channels in my favorites folder that has an epg present and is something I would watch or is an easily identifiable channel like; Something Movies, Something News, Something Westerns, etc… This way you may not know exactly what is playing, but at least you are in the genre category you are seeking.
Bottom line, set up your player with the playlist and channels you enjoy and take the time to actually watch them!

Thanks Miki. USTVGO works great in Smarters. PF said the associated epg url is http://bit.ly/epgsparkle, but it keeps failing to download. You successfully downloaded this epg in Tivimate?
