is there a work around unknown source zip files not loading to install for zip in kodi 19.4

Thanks, but I previously allowed unknown sources on firestick and in Kodi. What is odd is that Kodi is not on the list of apps to allow unknown source downloads on my 3-gen stick. I downloaded latest Amazon update just before this problem started. Are you running Fire OS 7.6.0.8? Having any problems?
