Unable to sideload an app

Hope this is a legal question. I want to add a cleaning app to my Nvidia Shield. I’m not able to sideload it because the USB stick it is on won’t fit in the 2nd USB slot along side my 128 GB Sandisk.

I downloaded APK Time and it loaded to my external drive. If I remove the external drive USB to make room for the cleaning app, APK Time won’t run. I also moved APK Time from my external to internal but I still lose APK when I remove the external. Apparently I need to have both running on my Shield, but as I said, they both do not fit. How else can I do this?

Get a USB to USB short ext cable for one of them .

Is there a reason you can’t simply put it directly on the Shield? If there isn’t enough room don’t put the entire APK library on the Shield, just get the APK for what you want to install and once done be sure to delete the APK to save space. Also one more thing, if you install an app to external drive don’t forget, that part of it’s coding/data must be on the streamer itself in order to run properly.
