Ugoos SK1 ...A new line from UGOOS

I had prostate cancer in 2013 and had 44 radiation treatments. I now have been cancer free for 11 years! Good luck to you Miki.

The learning in this hobby is enjoyable and rewarding. In the last year, my knowledge of IPTV has grown immensely thanks to forums like this and sites like Troy’s. At the same time, there have been increasing restrictions on the box OS’s so I totally get the point of an SK1 box. For example, a lot of boxes come with ports for usb drives, yet the operating systems do not allow write rights to external drives (go figure?).

The lower price boxes offer a lot value per dollar. So they are great for peripheral TVs or for people who don’t want to spend a lot.

Wow Miki! Congratulations to your wife. 10 years is Awesome! Congratulations to you also.I was 31 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Had it not been for the love and encouragement of my wonderful husband I don’t think I would be here today. 1984 to 2024 and counting. Kudos to you. God bless!

Thank you @zaneejanee you are awesome for sharing that, and I thank you. Appreciate the pep talk and letting me know. I took my wife touring on our Goldwing motorcycle while she was taking chemo. Her oncologist said it was fine and it took her mind off it. Be well my friend and keep on making memories every day

Our town has the most majorish med center within a 100 mile radius, about 160 km fer you’ns non Mericans.
Here the staffing issues are obvious and prevalent, though not to the degree that you’re describing.
My wife is currently in the hospital. About half the nurses are not employees of the hospital.
These ‘travel’ nurses make significantly more money than the hospital employed ones, yet this hospital system won’t address that issue.

Same thing here in central California. Especially during the pandemic! Speaking mainly to the traveling nurses pay.

My prayers are with you Miki. Where are you from in general. If you can make it to the US, we could get you treated. I did my major on health care and the stories from Canada and the NHS are more like Michael Myer migraines. God Bless!

What site did you order from?

Mini PC TV Box store. See earlier posted links above in this topic.

So my SK1 arrived today. I’ve got it set up. (sort of). Is there a way to update this Android 11 to Android 13 or 14?

I don’t have the box but if theres an update it will notify you or you can manually but I wouldnt worry too much about an update unless you have issues. Remember basically this is a stock box and the less google touches it the better. Android 9 is my all time fav :sunglasses: …jus’ sayin’

It is being tricky. I still haven’t figured how to turn off Google checking the apps. So I don’t have my dot installed for VPN.

Playstore > click on your profile > play protect. Settings wheel and turn off.

also in settings>>>security and restrictions>>>unknown sources…and make sure things are checked as needed. I have also found that google assistant can interfere with sideloading apps and its best to turn that off. If you install an app such as sportsfire and wake up the next day and its gone, then some instance of google has control of the box and must be tracked down and elliminated.
Congrats on the new box…now own it :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Everytime I install Sportsfire app on mobile phone, there is no option to open the app. I have disabled Play Protect but still not being able to open the app. Any workaround for this issue?
