It is Android 12. My big thing is snappiness of operation and video upscaling. Right now my AM9’s meet that threshold, apart from metal casings and excellent cooling. I also not crazy about the plastic casing on this SK box from a heat dispersement standpoint, even though it looks nice. ---

@sim_bill I’m happy with my AM9 and my TP hacked Fire TV Cubes Gen 2’s still work great too, I’m pretty simple these days. ---

Sounds like you are talking about the SK 1. I bought mine at the same time you did. Anyone who wanted to upgrade it to 8gb of RAM had to do it by computer otherwise you are stuck with 4 gbs. 4 gbs is perfectly ok for streaming in 4K, so it’s no big deal to me. Also, folks need to consider, do I really want or need 8K capability in a streaming box? Most people can’t tell the difference and most of us will have assumed room temperature by the time they are even considering making 8K the standard. ---

Anybody make any sense of this? Found this 2 different places and I’m very tempted to purchase from Alibaba. Is this price just wrong? If I wait, am I going to pay more than 500 bucks somewhere else eventually? Just seems to good to be true. Correction on my above post, I contacted the seller and even though it says 1 piece minimum, she’s informed it’s in fact 2 piece minimum. On another note I’m watching the price increase on other sites daily by the hundreds. 😳 ---
