Lou Costello. I used to live near Paterson NJ, The home of funny man Lou Costello (and his statue). I used to watch Abbott and Costello show every day after school, and their movies every Sunday on WPIX, before the Yankee game. He and his straight man Bud Abbot, were the #1 act in Vaudeville stage, the # 1 show on radio, the top movie funny man of the 1940’s, and the #1 one show on TV, before I Love Lucy, hit the screens. Hard to top that resume.
