Troypoint Kodi Forks trojan

I want to install Troypoint Kodi 18 and 19 forks but Defsquid and other antivirus apps say they have Trojans in them. What are Trojans anyway and will they harm my device? If not, why do the antivirus apps say they may harm my device?

stick with legit verified forks. Be very careful with a fork that you know little about because they can be injected with a trojan or other malware… with that said kodi often reports false positive due to its nature and what it does.

edit… if its a fork from troypoint I would call it safe.
