Toshiba Fire TV powers on by itself

Hope this is the best area to ask this question❓
I have a Toshiba Fire TV that powers on by itself intermittently and starts playing by itself 4:00 am etc.
A few times I noticed that on an app that I loaded, the TV would power on an update the app to the latest version.
Anyone else experience this problem? How to stop the power on and updates.
P. S. This TV is in my bedroom!

Look into your TVs timer settings and see if any are set, also have a look into “wake from sleep settings”. You may have an app set to “wake from sleep” so if your app is getting an update push notice your TV may turn on. Those are the main things I suggest looking at. You may be able to turn off all “wake from sleep” requests as a universal setting applied to all apps.

I used to have this problem with my ROKU TVs . Do you have the fire TV remote control app on your phone? Make sure it’s not running in the background . Swipe it off your phones screen then in android app settings " force stop" your fire TV remote app and that should work. Good luck

I do have a remote on my phone which I don’t use. I will uninstall it and see if that’s the answer.
