TiVo Stream 4K Update Removes Downloader & Launchers

I feel your pain. I have tried the process using an iPhone, verifying the IP address, rebooting the TIVO box at various stages, and nothing works. It’s as though it can’t find the file that is supposed to be disabled. I don’t think I will be wasting more time on the TIVO Stream 4K. It was used in a guest bedroom that doesn’t see a lot of activity, so I will replace it with my ONN 4K Pro. which I had as a spare.

The (How To Fix) TiVo 4K does not work for me says:

/system/bin/sh: adb: inaccessible or not found

I figured out the problem if you’re trying to do it on a iPhone it will not work. I did it on my Fire Tablet and it did it no problem.

Thanks for the update. I don’t have a Fire Tablet or non-Apple device to test this with. Not sure why it would even make a difference. I have already tossed the TIVO Stream 4K in a drawer to keep the Firesticks company, and replaced it with an ONN 4K Pro.

I have found a simple way to get downloader on tivo, settins/apps/see all apps/ system apps bottom/delete data on coreservice. Enter playstore install downloader. Open downloader and enter app codes you want and install. The downloader app will stay for hrs, before leaving you again, but your coded apps will remain. Repeat if you want to add something down the road.
