Amen! We need a Coffee category.
I have set up only 1 friend, and told him right off the bat, join Troypoint if you need any help!
I too was helping out friends and family sharing some of my connections to show them they are paying to much for cable. Big mistake. I’m 65 years old and I figured all this out on my own 5 years ago with the help of troypoint and others.
I have tried to teach and explain to them this isn’t rocket science, it still flies over their heads and they don’t have the gumption to learn themselves. So when the the subs expire, I tell them I got caught and I can’t help them anymore. ![]()

Hey, BP. I’ve told this story before in the Troyverse, but in case you missed it - Years ago, I suggested to my son that his future father-in-law living in Florida would probably enjoy our streaming hobby. He replied that it would probably be too complicated for him. I noted that it wasn’t rocket science and asked where the man worked before retirement. My son replied, “NASA”. So, you are right - this hobby isn’t for everybody.
Went on this site, but don’t know how to navigate Support on there
I am having trouble with the bootstrapper loading the preset apps with the torbox api code added. It will load without the api code but will not do it when i try to add it in there. It just keeps saying failed to fetch presets. I am using the ONN 4K Pro trying to install the stremio app for some gifts. Anyone else having this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Hello, I’ve noticed this as well at times. I think this is happening when their server is overloaded. Try back a little bit later. Also, if using a VPN or ad-blocker try disabling those to see if that helps.
Thank you! It worked this time..
I have been doing this since the days of DTV. I still have some programmers and cards. I did this for 5 of my wife family. They all wanted to watch Pittsburgh sports games. Set them up with a 5 Call max.support. Only one a dentist is still doing it and cut the cord. He is also a member here. All but one is still complaining about DTV price except the Dentist.
Me too! A tutorial from @TROYPOINT would be great and much appreciated!!
I gave my mother an Amazon Firestick. I set everything up for her including the iptv I use, plus I paid the bill for her. She was paying over 180.00 for cable just to watch MSNBC. I happened to get that with my iptv service. Last me tell you my mother was one of the smartest people I know, seriously smart. So I showed her and my brother, who isn’t that bright, how to use it and neither of them could clear the cache restart the firestick and would get frustrated as hell AT ME.I was either over to her house or on the phone, constantly. She eventually took the firestick out, never went back to cable just watched what was on the smart TV she just bought, no MSNBC though. She’s gone now and I miss her dearly and my brother is back in prison so he watches whatever is on. Long story short, I will never give these as a gift to anyone. I cut the cord about 6 years ago. My son told me about an iptv service he was using, so I bought a Firestick, bought into that iptv service and found the Troypoint site and never looked back. I never tell anyone about cutting the cord, I don’t need the aggravation. Thank you Troy.
LoL!! Oh my goodness!! I thought it was just ME!! I got into this whole thing about 12 years ago because my then 78 year old Mom complained about her bills going up, only to find out that the $49.99 introductory offer that she took just to see her fav BB team was now costing her $179.99/mo. The technology here has come a LONG way, ‘cos before all I had was Kodi and live tv was the most difficult of all. NOW, I’m so happy to introduce to everybody that I had to realize not everybody understands that this is NOT CABLE - there WILL be buffering. You WILL have to do some maintenance, and even change service a time or two. Those that don’t even know what buttons to push to turn things on were driving me CRAZY, and I was running around like a full-time job for FREE just to help people that refused to handle it themselves. Those that took the bull by the horns and at least tried to learn SOME on their own are the BEST candidates for this. All others should just pay for cable. lol.
