PETE, do you know if you set it up so that it blocks adverts etc, because some sites i use will not work if theyre blocked. Also i live in Spain but use many UK bookies through my VPN, on my phone and laptop, it works fine having Surfshark set up on each, although i frequently have to switch UK servers when using BET365. When i used Nordvpn, i could not access Bet365 at all.
Hiya Graham, I’m afraid I don’t know if it blocks adverts as I only have the VPN on the router set up for 1 device permanently which I use for Kodi and IPTV and if I need it on another device at home then I’ll temperately add the device on the VPN list on the router and then when I’m done I remove it the device from the list.
I know it may sound silly having a built-in VPN and only using it mainly for 1 device but the difference doing it this way means the download speed has gone from under 200mb using the Surfshark app on the device to around 800mb with using it on the router and it’s meant I don’t get buffering anymore when streaming large file films.
On this router I believe I can set up up to 6 different instances so if you wanted to you could do the same and set up different instances with different UK servers and switch when necessary which is easily done either using a browser on your laptop to access the routers settings or via the app for the router.
I hope that helps and I haven’t misunderstood you Graham.
Hi Pete, no you didnt misunderstand. Im getting a bit slow with tech stuff now. I may try installing it on the router but as i dont have too many problems watching premier league and EFL games its not a major problem. Many thanks for your advice. Have a grest new Year.
Cheers Graham and you too.
