SS and qbittorrent work great for torrenting…i was using utorrent and ipvanish before and got several letters about downloads because that combination was leaking my dns addy
with the new combo no more letters…i really think the SS people are listening to their customers…luv it!

Oddly enough, I noticed that my mbps, according to Analiti, jumped about from about 150 (average) to 200 last night. That was on wifi. Zoom-zoom-zoom! 😀

Does anyone know how long 10gb using Surfshark will last? I just purchased and was wondering, do I leave it running? If I stream 4 movies at 2.5gb each, will that use up my quota? I assume 10gb is a monthly quota?

The 10gb is a measurement of the speed on the servers. There’s no limit on the amount of data used with surf shark. (Sorry I accidentally deleted my last post instead of editing)

I no longer trust Surfshark. In the past month 3x the connection (server) has disconnected (monitor dot confirmed) and my stream continued on Shield with kill switch ENABLED.

I’ve never heard of that happening. Try to reinstall it but still, there is no reason for that. When it disconnects for me, there is no access to the internet ever. I am not using a Shield but it should matter not.

I have switched from Nordvpn to Surfshark 2 months ago and am using it on 1 desktop pc, running Linux Mint 22.1 and a Dell laptop also running 22.1, I Smart TV, all 3 over the last month have been disconnecting from time to time, I do not run the Kill switch option ( looks like I should) I do run to DOT vpn app on my Smart TV, but for the pc and laptop I get a popup from Surfshark telling me I have disconnected. never had this problem with Nordvpn

Their customer service is exceptional. They will take as many hours as needed to work on solving any problem and if their shift is over, someone else picks up the account right away and carries on. They are very knowledgeable about their products.
